Primary useMouse button repair and component replacement

Before installation

  • Confirm the original model and pin arrangement.
  • Compare switch height, actuator position and housing clearance.
  • Control soldering temperature and duration to avoid PCB damage.
  • After replacement, test buttons and unintended double clicks with MouseBench.

D2LS-21 Selection and Repair Notes

Do not choose a mouse microswitch by brand or appearance alone. Open the mouse and verify the complete original part number, pin layout, switch height, actuation position and available shell clearance. Parts within the same series may use different force or mechanical variants, so compatibility must be checked against the original component and PCB.

Testing After Replacement

After soldering and reassembly, return to the MouseBench mouse tester to check left- and right-button press/release signals, unintended double-clicks, wheel input and side buttons. If one press still produces several signals, inspect solder joints, switch height and the button mechanism again.
