Mouse Test User Guide
Follow these steps to test the left, right, middle, wheel and side buttons and verify complete press and release signals.
Before You Start
- Use the latest version of Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
- Connect the mouse directly to the computer and avoid loose USB hubs during testing.
- For a wireless mouse, check the battery and receiver connection first.
Basic Button Test Steps
- Open the Mouse Test page and move the pointer into the central test area.
- Press the left, right, middle, back and forward buttons one at a time.
- The “+” count increases on press and the “−” count increases on release.
- After a complete click, the difference should normally return to 0.
- Test each button 20–50 times and watch for missed releases or stuck buttons.
Left and Right Double-Click Test
Use the left panel for the left button and the right panel for the right button. Click at a normal pace to record intervals, valid double-clicks and possible unintended clicks.
A very short interval is only a warning, not proof of failure. Confirm repeated behavior under normal use and cross-check on another browser or computer.
How to Read the Results
- Difference 0:Press and release signals were received as a pair.
- Difference 1:The button is still held or the release signal has not been received.
- Possible unintended double-click:Repeated clicks were detected within a short interval; repeat the test to confirm.
- CPS：Clicks per second; it measures input speed, not hardware quality.
